Cair Paravel Latin School is seeking a Rhetoric School humanities teacher for the 2024-25 school year.

Basic Requirements:
• Strong Christian testimony and commitment, including modeling and spiritual leadership for students
• Commitment to living in accordance with Biblical standards
• Agreement with the CPLS Statement of Faith (copy available at cpls.org)
• Commitment to the classical Christian vision
• Passion for classical Christian education or a willingness to learn more
• Personal love of learning
• Subject-matter expertise – At a minimum, expertise in History is required. Specific expertise in Roman History and Modern History (Western tradition) is preferred.
• Organizational skills and aptitude for managing a classroom

Preferred Qualifications:
• Classroom/teaching experience
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in history, humanities, or history/humanities education, and preferably from a liberal arts college
• Training and/or experience in classical Christian education
• Versatility and/or expertise in other specialties, i.e., other curricular or extra-curricular areas

Responsibilities:
• Serving as a Christian minister to and model for students
• Teaching history (likely Roman History and Modern History) and other courses/responsibilities as assigned
