HLS Virginia Beach is seeking a joyful, nurturing, and mission-aligned Junior Kindergarten Teacher to join our new classical Christian community.
We are looking for someone who loves young children, values structure and beauty in early education, and is excited to help lay a strong foundation in phonics, numbers, habits, and biblical truth.
Responsibilities:
* Lead a Junior Kindergarten class in a structured, Christ-centered environment
* Teach foundational literacy, numeracy, music, and early habits
* Foster attention, obedience, joy, and curiosity in young learners
* Work closely with parents and school leadership
* Support the classical Christian model of education
Qualifications:
* Love for Christ and commitment to Christian education
* Experience with early childhood or elementary-aged children preferred
* Strong classroom management and communication skills
* Willingness to be trained in classical methods (Memoria Press / classical model experience a plus)
* Team-oriented and dependable
Position Details:
* Part-time (1/2 day Tuesday + Thursday)
